SUZAAN DE KOCK | Director
Professional Architect | M.Arch(Prof) UFS
I am Suzaan de Kock, a registered Professional Architect and founder of SDK. In 2014, I graduated with my Masters degree in Architecture and have been practicing as a project and design architect since 2015. I gained work experience at Greg Wright Architects, and founded SDK in 2021.
I am a passionate, energetic individual and love to engage with people from all walks of life. Going beyond the scope of appointment to make sure my clients are happy, illustrates my dedicated and hard-working spirit. I enjoy interacting and getting to know my clients, as I believe it plays an important role in designing a home or space for them.
I am a meticulous designer, making sure every millimetre of the design is considered and documented, leaving no room for error. I focus on delivering on my client’s brief, ensuring their needs are met - a space or building that is well designed, original and unique to them.
I approach the design of buildings holistically, the function and interior spaces of buildings are considered in conjunction with their exterior appearance and form. I embrace every challenge and opportunity presented by my clients and their projects.
ABOUT SDK
Service offerings include Architecture and Interior Design. SDK specialises in residential and hospitality design projects.
The goal is to design practical and aesthetic solutions, based on the client's project brief and the statutory rights of the property.
The amalgamation of architectural and interior design services allows for an all-inclusive and holistic design that contributes positively towards achieving the highest standard end product.
Every aspect of the design is considered and translated into a construction drawing, at the finest detail possible. At SDK we are perfectionists, ensuring every last millimetre lines up with the next.
ARCHITECTURE + INTERIOR DESIGN
We offer a full architectural service, where design, technical and financial considerations are constantly taken into account at each phase of the project. Resulting in the client knowing exactly what the project will cost at each stage of work.
The thorough and detailed approach to design, coupled with documentation results in an extensive set of technical details.
Suzaan believes there shouldn't be a distinction between the crafting of interior spaces and the architectural form around it.
There should always be a seamless integration of both the exterior and interior designs, which together create a purposeful and considered interior space. SDK offers a wide range of interior design services specific to retail and residential design.
At SDK we are driven to do every task at the highest possible standard and strive to promote a service marked by excellence both in our buildings and in addressing the needs of our clients, with the focus on practical and functional elegance.
